Secure resources—then start

You have a plan. Before you start working:
  1. Try to get the resources specified in the plan: Say you have a plan to rough in 100%  of curriculum unit maps for all courses. The plan calls for 3 resources: a curriculum coordinator, computer software, and 20 hours of work time for staff. What happens to your plan if you can’t get these 3 resources?
  2. Review the resources you’ve been able to get: You’ve been able to get software and the work time, but not the curriculum coordinator. This affects your plan.
  3. Use what you learn from reviewing the resources to assess and revise your plan: Since you aren’t able to get a curriculum coordinator, you assign some of the curriculum coordinator’s responsibilities to principals and department chairs. You also change the outcome to roughing in 50% of curriculum unit maps for all courses.
  4. Then, start working.
