How often do you focus others on developing SMART action steps?
What helps me get my goals accomplished? Developing my own action steps, action steps that I’m motivated to take and that are SMART. I don't have the same success rate when someone else develops the action steps and when the action steps are not SMART.
I’m sold on developing my own SMART action steps. And when I work with others, I work to focus them on developing their own SMART action steps.

How focused are you on achieving your mission?
Want to achieve your mission? If so, focus even more on your mission. Why? Because the more you focus on your mission, the more you will get it done.
3 questions:
What are your goals?
You want to achieve your mission. So, you get out of the office and take time to identify 5 key goals. Good. When you return to the office, you focus on achieving your goals all week. Good.
And then things head downhill:
Question: What’s the problem?
Answer: You didn’t document your goals.
This means…
What 3 things do you want from your principal or colleagues?
You want to teach from a Biblical perspective. You know that your principal or colleagues can help you do this.
Question: What 3 things do you want from your principal or colleagues?
Here are sample things you might want to from your principal or colleagues:
Target Biblical perspective. Get 3 things from your principal or colleagues. Today.
How can peer coaching help your students apply a Biblical perspective throughout their essays?
Your seniors are working on essays. You want them to apply a Biblical perspective throughout their essays. You don’t want them to put Biblical perspective only in their conclusions.
Question: How can you help your students apply a Biblical perspective throughout their essays?
Answer: By having your students coach each other by asking the following 7 questions:

- On a scale of 1-10 (10 being high), how focused on your mission do you want to be?
- What will you do?

- In week #2, you notice that you’re not quite as focused on your goals.
- In week #3, you have a crazy week where you can’t work on your goals.
- By week #4, you can’t remember 2 of your goals. Not good.
Question: What’s the problem?
Answer: You didn’t document your goals.
This means…
- You can’t easily review your goals.
- You can’t easily use your goals to schedule your next action steps.
- You can’t easily find out what your goals are when you can’t remember them (something which happens to everyone).

- On a scale of 1-5 (5 being high), how permeated is your essay by Biblical perspective?
- What will you do?
